I truly was. I was an orphan but for some reason my spirits were always up, I always had hope. Hope that had brought me to the door of Ida. Ida was such a nice woman, she was in her early 60's and seemed unstoppable. She raised me up the best way she could, and oh how we struggled. We barley could buy food half the time, but somehow we survived.
Than one day. . . everything changed, I remember walking into the living room, and seeing her on the couch, but she was still. I went over to her and put my hand on her shoulder and said her name, but nothing. Tears started to rim my eyes and I started to shake her, slowly to just violently. Ida, Ida, Ida. . .
